General Information
Resolution
Spatial resolution
The climate values used to generate the TMYs are interpolated precisely to the geographical coordinates specified by the user. Local shading effects are also taken into account. As a result, no fixed spatial resolution can be defined for the output data.
However, the underlying input datasets are based in part on gridded data with defined spatial resolutions:
- Satellite data: 1/8° (~10 km)
- Reanalysis data: 25 km
- Altitude data: 30 m
Temporal resolution
The standard temporal resolution of the Meteonorm Climate data is hourly. Stochastically generated minute-level data is also available for both Meteonorm Climate TMY and Meteonorm Climate Historic.
